Well-site Efficiency Engineer
/ Deepwater Production Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for routine well and reservoir
surveillance, problem well diagnostics, and repair.
• Ensuring Production Data Management
System (PDMS) is fully functional, both for daily
reporting and Engineering analysis software.
• Responsible for well and field
production performance, production allocation and
database management, decline analysis, investigate
& control coning, maintain choke model, and performing
Integrated Asset Modeling (IAM) linking Material Balance,
Nodal Analysis, and Surface Network softwares (Prosper-GAP-Mbal).
• Ensure adequate well start-up
and shut-down procedures are prepared and followed
for the Deepwater development, for both Subsea and
Dry Tree Unit wells. This includes oil, gas, and water
production and injection wells.
• Close liaison with Facilities
and Reservoir Engineers. Liaise with Well Services
Intervention Supervisor for well servicing operations
and maintenance of platform infrastructure. This work
will include multiphase well testing and sampling
programs for well and reservoir performance review.
Work with cross-functional team to define and update
the field completion strategy.
• Shared responsibility for the
health, safety and welfare of all persons at any Production
Site, including staff, contractors and visitors and
for local environmental safety.
• Assist in the development and
implementation of flow assurance techniques and program.
Academic & Skill Requirements:
• University honours degree or equivalent in
Engineering, preferably in Petroleum engineering.
• Minimum 10 years relevant industry
experience in oil and gas with 5 years associated
with offshore operations.
• Familiar with issues relating
to drilling, production and workover of offshore dry-tree
and Subsea wells.
• Familiarity with reservoir, completions,
and construction engineering.
• Recent experience with production
optimization using computer softwares such as: Mbal©,
Prosper©, GAP©, Hysys©, Production
Allocation, and Decline Curve Analysis. A benefit
would be some exposure to other discipline softwares
such as Petrel©, Eclipse©, Hysys©,
3D facilities modeling, Computerized Maintenance Management
Systems.
• Fluency in English, both spoken
and written, is essential.
• Strong personal and interpersonal
skills with flexibility to meet the fluctuating needs
of cross-functional operations support
• Deepwater experience or a willingness
to learn new aspects related to the challenges of
Production Operations in a deepwater environment.
• Willingness to travel to the
field, both onshore and offshore

Marine engineering technicians, also known shipbuilding
technicians, design, build, service and repair boats
and ships, and offshore platforms, drilling machinery
and equipment.
As a technician, you would use a broad range of engineering
skills in your work, for example welding, mechanical
and electrical maintenance, and electronic equipment
installation. Your exact duties would depend on on
your employer's line of business but could include:
faultfinding and repairing electronic, hydraulic and
mechanical equipment on boats and ships assisting
in the design and development of new marine equipment,
for example more efficient propulsion engines providing
engineering support onboard a dive support vessel,
surveying for minerals, oil or gas refurbishing older
craft with new navigation and communications systems
using underwater craft (ROVs – remotely operated
vehicles) to inspect undersea pipelines supervising
a team of craftspeople in a ship or boatyard maintaining
weapons systems, radar and sonar onboard Royal Navy
warships.

Rotation Equipment Engineer
Key Accountabilities:
The position requires the presentation of expert technical
advice regarding long term reliability of rotating
equipment, often within a short response time. It
is imperative that any proposals, conclusions or recommendations
are made in concert with the requirements of the business
unit team so that process, operations and inspection
goals are met and the broad issues of reliability,
cost, safety, innovation and environmental concerns
are accomplished. The Rotating Equipment Engineer
will also be responsible to:
Prepare Equipment programs for assigned Rotating Equipment
Scopes that are based on the Risk Based analysis,
providing an integrated action plan of Preventive,
Predictive, and Condition-based monitoring strategies
that optimize cost performance
Provide technical evaluations related to reliability
of rotating equipment within the scope of skills and
qualifications Apply sound engineering principles
and identify risks in the development of maintenance
work scopes and initiate work notifications in sufficient
detail to resolve identified equipment performance
problems Use risk review methods, HAZOP studies and
other safety checks in order to maintain and improve
area safety and reliability performance indicators
Ensure that assigned equipment design changes comply
with engineering management system and that each is
evaluated for the impact on equipment reliability
All assigned engineering assessments must be in agreement
with inspection results and be thorough, timely and
qualitative to the inspection recommendations to ensure
no production losses due to improper engineering assessment.
Perform critical assessments (RCA) when there are
unexpected failures to monitored equipment to determine
if changes to the maintenance program are appropriate
and develop resolutions to improve declining equipment
conditions Review and trend equipment performance
data for assigned equipment scopes from completed
corrective maintenance, and preventive maintenance
work orders and notify management of early indications
of declining equipment performance.
Qualification Requirements:
The successful candidate will have:
Mechanical engineering degree complemented by a Professional
Engineering designation
5 - 8 years of relevant maintenance and reliability
experience
Registration or eligibility for registration with
APEGGA
Strong knowledge of rotating equipment selection,
operation and maintenance is highly desirable
Knowledge of SAP maintenance module
Conversant with API Codes pertaining to rotating equipment
in the Oil & Gas Industry
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Working Conditions:
This position is based offshore off the
North Eastern Coast of Brazil.
Work Schedule: 10 hours a day 4 days
a week.

and trained in TapRoot Investigation Analysis.
